V is for Viscacha

Not to be confused with an adorably fat rabbit, the Viscaha live on rocky mountains eating whatever plants they can find. By farmers this rodent is considered a pest as they can strip land that would used to be graze livestock.

They emit alarm calls and are very vocal!

L is for Leopon

Leopons are hybrids of a male leopard with a female lion. The Leopon’s head is similar to a lion, whilst the rest of the body is similar to a leopard. They were first bred in captivity in India in 1910.

Leopons are awesome.

Yak facts: Yak’s can survive temperatures as low as – 40 (farenheit).  Both males and females have horns. They are currently ‘vunerable’ due to a loss of habitat.

You can drink Yak milk, it’s said to be pinkish in colour. (yum..)
