Drawing project focusing on foxes and the fables, characters and myths that surround them. Experimentation with pens and inks-altered digitally and compiled together on photoshop. I’ll screenprint these this week too! Yipee!

A quick illustration of the world’s smallest man feeling like he’s part of a circus. In the text it says how he hates it when people pick him up. He doesn’t like all the attention that is constantly drawn to his height.
I feel like it’s quite an obvious interpretation, I’m in the process of screenprinting the other images but I’m not actually sure if I’ll use this as a final image. It’s a bit too busy. I might create a more pattern based image instead, and have this as research. The wolf image screenprint has been going quite well, but the allignment is unfortunately slightly off, so it creates a very distorting effect, which is actually quite relevant to the context..but it hurts my brain!

Hello, hello, HOLA!
Little Illustration to be screenprinted tomorrow! One more image left to go! Short newspaper story to illustrate about a 70 year old naturist gardener who’s fighting to prevent new houses being built that will eventually overlook his garden and invade his privacy.
I did the cute leaf prints by running around outside and collecting little leaves, then dipping them ink, printing from them carefully (like a big kid) and altering the layers and colours etc on photoshop! It’ll look much nicer in lovely, matt screenprint ink though!

Illustrated for short story about a family who adopted a pack of wolves and are training them, and treating them like their children.
Ink drawing repeated on Photoshop. Possibly to be screenprinted, but unfortunately I’d lose too much of the detail. Probably not.
I’m not sure if this is the final yet. Knowing me it’s probably not!
Oh and I’m meeting with the lovely people of Nomad magazine today to discuss a possible creative directors role for me! And also for tea consumption! http://nomad.eusa.ed.ac.uk/who/whoframe.html
